With the economy in such a crazy place, almost everyone is looking to increase their income. Well I can personally tell you that I’ve been out of work for over a year and living at my best by hosting Speed Dating events in Atlanta!
My company is called Match in Six, and I host private speed dating events, public speed dating events, speed networking events, and charity speed dating events!
Recently, I’ve been contacted by several bars and restaurants looking for help with hosting speed dating events at their facilities. For instance the owner of a new bar opening in Florida contacted me this week about purchasing a speed dating kit. She purchased the kit, but before it arrived we had several consultations about how to host a profitable event, how to get sponsors for the events, how to collect money, what times are best for speed dating events, speed dating theme ideas, and sooo much more!
With that said, I’ve been able to expand into consulting for restaurant, club and bar owners/managers who want to host their own speed dating events as well.
My most recent project is my book about hosting the best damn speed dating events one can possibly have. My book will go into detail about the business, the excitement, keeping steady clients, and how Speed Dating relates to modern social trends. It’ll also include all the behind the scenes goodies… and not so goodies. The purpose of the book is to help anyone looking to start planning or hosting speed dating events for profit.
As you can see I’ve been busy– but this all sort of just happened! Serendipity, I guess… but I’m loving every minute of it. Hosting my own speed dating events have come to a bit of a hiatus, however, I still get to plan speed dating events for charities, clients, and friends. I get many requests for planning private events as well. I miss hosting the events, I love the interaction and the amazing singles that I get to meet.
Once my book is published and all of the “businessy” aspect of my business in in complete order, I do plan on hosting events!
For now I’m focusing on helping others host events, plan events, and start speed dating business. My speed dating kit can help with all of those things.
