So it’s going to rain all week long and you’re wanting to do some fun things with your sweetie, but it’ll have to be indoors. No problem, here is our top indoor activities for spending some quality time with your mate.
5. To Be Or Not To Be
Find a great Bestseller or grab an old classic and read out loud to one another under a soft warm blanket and while sipping some hot cocoa! You’d be surprised how much narrating a story will entertain the you both! Take turns reading pages out of the chapter or being a character in the book. You can even get creative and make up your own happy ending without looking at any of the pages. To Be Continued…
4. Start A Fight
Ok, not a real fight. But a fluffy, feather flying, gut giggling pillow fight, of course. Get your adrenaline pumping and put on a great love battle with pillows and stuffed animals flying over the room. Just be sure not to knock over the lamp…. unless things get romantically steamy and intense during your kiss and make-up session.
3. Heat Things Up in The Kitchen
We’ve all heard that food is a way to a mans heart! So, why not take this time to go online and find a recipe that you can cook together. Try to make something that neither of you have ever made or tasted. You’ll both be trying something new for the first time together! Make sure you have all the ingredients or try and substitute and come up with your own recipe. For extra fun, pull our your smart phone or camcorder and record each other in action in the kitchen as if it’s your own cooking show. Just have fun with it! And remember to spice up your dish with lots of love. Don’t forget to KISS THE COOK. Bon appetit!
2. Friendly Competition
Spending time together at home playing on your video game console can be super fun and entertaining. Order some takeout/ delivery food and play games together, talking, laughing, and just having a good ol’ time together.
1. Create You Vision
Planning your life together is a major part of being in a relationship. Of course, you want to be in a relationship with someone who shares similar goals, dreams, and lifestyle as you. A good way to plan together and get on the same page is creating a vision board for “us”. Get some old magazines and print off photos from the computer and create you. Talk about goals, vacations, cars, family, and other things that you would like to see in your future together and begin compiling a poster board with all the images, words, and mantras to help you get there– together.
There’s an old African proverb that says “If you want to travel fast, go alone. If you want to travel far, go together.
There is a lot of wisdom in those words. No matter what you do as a couple on your rainy days make it fun, intimate, and nurturing for a healthy and happy relationship!
